Reiki is a Japanese relaxation technique that uses light- or near-touch to reduce stress and anxiety, and improve general well-being.
Recent research suggests that using Reiki as a complementary therapy activates the parasympathetic nervous system to heal body and mind by creating a relaxation response. By helping the client relax, Reiki helps the person move from a “fight or flight” state into a “rest and digest” mode to promote healing. Similar to other bio-field therapies such as qi gong, Reiki is non-invasive and can be performed anywhere.
In person and distance Reiki sessions are offered by appointment, as well as guided meditation sessions to help improve your physical, emotional and mental well-being. We also offer Animal Reiki sessions for animals and their caregivers.
